Hi all,

I brought a 6" indo dat 13 days ago, it has not eaten since i brought it!!!

LFS said he eats everything apart from pellets.

Ive tried a few things and he took nothing, im trying to get him onto prawns first.

He has tried twice to chew the prawn, but then when he spits it out there are a few fish around him that snatch it. ( Clown loaches, flagtail, flowerhorn)

I have realised these few days that he is not swimming around as much and my flowerhorn 1" smaller just chases it every now and then.

Would it be an idea to put the indo into my other 3ft tank? There will be no other fishes in the 3ft tank...

Any suggestions....?

Thanks

you'll be ok, just leave it in there with the other fish. it will eat once it get really hungry. some of the dats that i got will not eat for weeks (but they are 8" and bigger) to a month.

if its eat then split it back out then is just not used to the tast of the new food. but like i said, is take times for dats to get used to its new surrouding. once it comfortable it will eats and be more active. my last dat didn't eat anything for over 1 month and its 8". The one before that didn't eat for over 3 weeks and its 11". the one before that eat within 1 week and it 9". that just to give you an idea....
