So I finally caught and moved my 2 pbass and my IT dat into their new home. It is a new 125g tank, set up with a couple large pieces of driftwood and a small rock pile. I'm planning on adding a thin layer of sand soon, either very dark brown or black, I think.

Here are the tank inhabitants:

Indo Dat ~4"
Pbass 6"
Pbass 4.5"
Pike Cichlid 6"

Throughout the whole catching and transfer, the dat never lost his stripes or coloring. He's nice and stable, and everybody ate less than 15 minutes into the new tank, which made me happy.

Super sexy, Great color on that Bad Boy.

Thanks, he's actually been a really great and easy fish for me. He started eating frozen bloodworms, brineshrimp and beefheart right off the bat, which was pretty awesome. He's still getting live feeders every now and then, especially with the move to this new tank, as that's almost all the pbass will take as of now, but they will all be getting weaned to frozen foods, and possibly market shrimp and fish fillets, then (hopefully) eventually pellets as well.

Yah, he's got an attitude too. :)

He doesn't really confront the pbass very much, since they're getting so much bigger than him so fast, but he's not afraid to flair up at them, and he squared off with the pike cichlid within 5 minutes of being in the tank, and wouldn't be intimidated (you can kind of see it in the pic above, they were deciding who gets to hide under the tree stump).

He also looks at me like he'd kick my butt if I ever got in the tank... goofy little fish :)

Nice looking indo. I like the tank set up as well. Bare bottom w/ river rocks looks good. I did that in my 55 but im afraid to do it in my 120.....long way down droppin a rock. I really like the personalities of dats...very personable. My bigger ngt does tricks like a dolphin trying to get me to feed him more.

If I was you I'd add another pbass before those get bigger and the bigger guy starts really punking the smaller. Trio's always work better than doubles.

My Ven. Pike likes to fight with my dats. For the dat and the bass prob, you can add another dat. My dats really don't bother my bass if there is two dats in the same tank.

I'm trying to find another pbass big enough not to be eaten by these two. I haven't found any around here larger than about 3 inches in length, and the big guy would probably just look at one that size as a nice big feeder.

I'm also looking for one or more dats to add to the tank. I really like them, and would love to keep a few more. They just don't show up around here very often, and they usually aren't very cheap either.
