Help!!! I have an indonesian datnoid but the colors/bars don't seem to be cooperating. Will my fish be like this until it grows bigger ? Please help me on what to do.

Relax that's just how some dats are. How long have you had it? Any tankmates?
Sometime a change of scenery helps. The fish may just not be comfortable yet. some indos have brilliant color that is stable and some don't and never will.
Keep us posted looks like a nice dat with a full necklace and thick full belt (with the backwards sweeping motion). Hope it colors up!

Just got it recently. It's in a 20 gallon aquarium. I usually place my new fish in a temporary holding area to observe it for a few days. If I'm sure it is not sick, the fish will be transferred to my community tank. Thanks. I hope it stabilizes.
