While looking up information on gars, I was introduced to arowana. Is it possible to keep the two together, temporarily until the gar are big enough for my outdoor pond, and I also was wondering if it would be possible to build an indoor arowana pond? I know that a good cover would be necessary to prevent the fish from jumping out, but is there any other crucial information necessary for an indoor pond? I have a new 20ft x 20ft piece of pond liner that I can use for the project, but I would also like to use part of it to make a small feeder fish pond and a small quarantine/water change pond; both would be part of the unit I would build that would contain the arowana pond but would have separate filters and other equipment from the main pond. I was thinking maybe a silver arowana or a jardini; any ideas?

Keep the liner as is. Us the whole thing for the pond. If you want small feeder and WC ponds, use small stock tanks.

the ancient fish section is probably a better place to ask this question, either the gar or arowana section or both :P

BAD WIGGLES!!!!!
i thought we went over this. no raising them in an aquarium setting then moving them outdoors. unless they are completly buy themselves and even then im not sure. you could get dieses and spred them to your pond

Oops, forgot about that lol. My idea was to raise the gar to a large enough size that they would not be so easily eaten in the pond. The arowana would stay indoors but the idea was to see if a temporary setup would work. I would transfer them to a different outdoor pond for quarantine before putting them in my main pond.

bumpage. i would like to know also. how big of a pond could u make with that. that would help in determining the amount u could
