Hello,
Have an indoor koi pond that wants to be 55f (12.7c) but the room gets hot and he water can reach 70f.
approx. 1200 gallons(4500 liters), room temp 80f, surface area of aprox. 90 sq.ft.

Have a AquaEuro USA model MC 1/4 h.p. that does not have enough capacity.
any help on brands, sizing etc.. would be appreciated.

Also, is 55f ideal for koi?

thanks in advance.

Not near. At 55 degrees, your koi will survive, yes, but they won't have any kind of appetite and won't exhibit any kind of growth. If the room temp is 80F, don't even touch them pond temperature. Koi can be kept in 80F and its PERFECT for them. At higher temperatures they THRIVE, and have a much larger appetite. Go for higher temps.
