Looking to make a temporary pond. One that can be setup and taken down when needed without too much hassle.

Thinking around 8' x 8' x 2'

Considering either stacked cinder blocks (3 rows high)
PROS: Easy to setup and take down
CONS: 66 bricks need to be stored when not in use (22 per row)

Looking for ideas if this will work and not collapse and/or other suggestions.

I have a 1500 gallon tank I need to take down (Catfish, FRT, jumbo clown loaches, and other larger fish) and they will need a tempoary home until my new 2700 gallon aquarium is completed.

Looking to use a 15'x15' EDPM 45mil liner with some pink foam board under the liner for cusion/protection on the floor and walls. Will be using a few submersible pumps to pump the water into a rubbermaid tub full of scrubbies and green filter mat (From the 1500 sump).

Will need a suggestion on heating since I need to keep the temp around 81-84.

Finally the tank will be covered with clear panels from my 1500 to keep the fish from jumping out.

I do have a concern about the FRT and his claws putting a hole in the liner.

Thanks

I was going to suggest a koi show tank made of vinyl but as you mentioned the turtle may be an issue. Those show tanks are easy to assemble and take down. I believe they have a 8' dia one. Not sure of the cost but maybe you can double up the vinyl liner.

EPMD from firestone is the liner I used for the outdoor monster pond I built few years ago.
I do not think the FRT will make it through the liner I used.

gona do this for a semi-permanent sump setup, how did the bricks hold up? any bowing out as you filled it with water?

use those intex metal pool + liners like some of the members on here. Easy to set up and take down, also space saving for storage.
