Our home came with a shallow (~ 8" deep but extensive ~ 14 sq ft) indoor pool under the stairs. Curious about moisture/ humidity problems with such an installation. Longterm damage to the surrounding woodwork above the pool is a concern. Any comments as to this from your experiences?

Wow, if only my home had come with the pond pre-installed! You'll need a dehumidifier. Mine collects about three gallons of water per day from the pond. It's a lot of moisture. I have not witnessed damage, but I can only imagine what it would do over time. With a dehumidifier, though, you should be okay. You should post pics!

Your house came with a pond, very nice. Any pics?
