Ok I have never seen anyone mention indoor SW ponds before and I have been on a lot of different forums...can someone link me some pics of some and/or building plans, I think when I get my new house built that would be an awesome project to work on.

Thanks for any help

i dont think that it would be much different than a large tank! only thing you have to think about is how to stop stuff from jumping out. i would personally make it a 2 floor thing, have maybee 6 inches on the first or second floor, and than maybee 3 or 4 feet, under the ground, and have glass on one side, that way you can look into it from the bottom as well. ul have both, a pond, and a tank. cool thing about that, is if you set it up properly, (like having a sub pond/upper level kinda thing) than you can set up a mangrove area. again this all depends on how much room you have to play with, lol.

S.W. fish do tend to be major jumpers. Keep in mind that there is very little shore in relation to ocean and most of the spieces that we keep in tanks aren't near shore inhabitants.

well, that all depends on the depth, and the species as well, i can think of a few fish that will work well, id just stay away from gobies, wrasse, and hawkfish/groupers.
