Is there such a thing as an induced spawning for discus or a proven way to get a mated pair to breed?

I have heard rumors of added salt or slightly raised temperature but I have never tried them...

I have a mated pair in their own 40 gal "nursery"... The day after I put them in the had a small unsuccessful clutch of 15-20 eggs.. about 1/4 of what they have laid in the past. So far there have been 5 unsuccessful clutches of eggs.... Which is fine. I know it sometimes takes several times for the pair to get it right.. I was just wondering about these "tricks" or any other way to get them to put them in the mood and try again...

Any feedback would be appreciated.. Thank you

dim the lights and play some slow tunes ;) lol i found that all my fish spawn after a nice big water change and bumping the temps up the slightest bit:P

No salt! What usually works for me is a large water change, with much cooler water. With Discus, it's usually a DROP in temp. that will induce spawning. Also, the use of live foods will also help...Bill
