I have a 200g 96x24 on the way, just was curious besides a wooden DIY what people use for stands for large Aquariums? I'm looking at some different indsustrial shelving, etc. that would probably only run me around $300, pictures, ideas anyone?

For my 60 gallon, I'm using a Gorilla Rack that I bought from Costco for $65. For something longer, like your tank, I'm not sure if Gorilla Rack makes anything that long.

I have a 700,350,200,150,and110 gal tanks that I'm supporting with cinder block stands. They are fast easy and cheap to make and nothing is sturdier. You can make any size in minutes.

For your 96X24 tank I would use 8 cinder blocks for each layerAnd two 96X24 sheets of plywood.Put down one layer of blocks then one plywood "shelf",then two or three more layers of blocks(depending on how high you want it). Then a thin layer styrafoam toped off with the other board and your done.No nails or screws etc.For a better look I like to spray paint the blocks flat black and stain the shelfs.

What's the size of the cinder blocks?

i should have used 8" hollow blocks i got 12" hollows on my 90 was way over kill and i was originally thinking of using semi solids

Screw it, I'm going with cinder block idea, I don't want to put a bunch of jack into a stand, and I'm not much a DIY'er to say the least......Thx for the info....Do you have any photos of your setup?
