I noticed that one of my crays has an infection on one of his eyes. He has been out moving around the tank, which is odd because he usually sits in his cave. I know that this was caused by an increase in tank temperature (summers coming...im working on cooling the tank). But I want to know if I should quarantine him into a cooler tank in the meantime? (I have another cray in the tank with him) What else can I do to help him?

It's tough to tell from the picture but the infection doesn't look that bad. I don't think it would be a good idea to do much aside from keep the cray in a stress free environment (isolate). That way it can rest/shed and hopefully recover. In my experience, if something happens to a crustacean's eye (scarring or whatnot), it is permanent and does not get repaired during a shed. Lets hope for your cray's sake that it is a superficial infection and will be fought off in time for the eye to not sustain damage.

Best of luck. Let us know how you make out.
