info on amphilophus altifrons

Well, I've only had a group for a few days (purchased from Gage), but they're very active and doing well. Mine are already taking sinking NLS mid water, and constantly sift sand all day. There's a few threads I've found on them, but not many. I'm sure someone who has kept then longer than I have can chime in, I'd love to hear from them as well.

it could be astotheros but i think its amphilophus i thought it was some type of geo my self and most of the info i find is in dutch or spanish because its not frequently imported to america like other fish..

It was briefly put in Astatheros, now back in Amphilophus pending further review (to my knowledge). Definitely not a geophagine, but pretty much behaves like one, especially when small. You will still see it on stock lists as Astatheros.
