I'm planning on getting a couple of these beautiful fish. I'd really like details on the best parameters for them, Temp, pH, tank size, biotope details and the rest.
Also a couple of pics if possible :)

Thanks all.

One of my favourites I have.

1. They like it cool, 15-20c, than can go higher but it is not there naturel range.
2. They don't like there own company very much. I have in th past kept two together, but they would go at it every time they saw each other.
3. Normal PH 6.5 - 7.5 avoid extreams.
4. A 3' should be fine for a individual fish.

Hey thanks Jelly! got any pics of your guys?

would a 36"x18"x18" be fine for a single fish? How large do they get?

Another thing, are they a different species, or a variant of C. stewartii?

Hi,

true blues can be very aggressive and need cool water, as already stated by jelly.
They are a stewartii variant, but much more agressive than other variants.
In a two meter tank, ist difficult to keep a pair.
Searching seek and destroy.

Cheers

I was planning on keeping a single specimen in a 36x18x18. Does that sound okay, or should i get a 48x18x18?
And are there any tankmates i can keep it with?
Also, about the tank, what sort of scape should i go with? A nice planted and bogwood setup, such as bleheri prefer?
Or sand, rocks, driftwood and a steady current of water?

Doesn't anyone have pics?? :)
