HI everyone im going to pick up a dinasour eel which isnt really a eel
it is refered to as names of the folowing,

dinsour eel
dinsour bichir
gray bichir
senegal bichir etc etc

i have a suitible sized tank and have done my reasherch, i know they need air and are escape masters. I have seeled all posible escape points, I may be putting it with one of the pollowing or more

A 8 inch red oscar
a 6 inch ob peacock
and a 6 inch Red blood parrot

I know theres not to much information and im looking for ANYTHING that can help me. What kind of food, what kind of behavior any personal experience things of that nature. Hope you all can help me i really apreciate it thanks, matt

There should not be any problems with that stock list that i can think of, although just make sure that none of the fore mentioned fish are large enough to prey on the Bichir.

ya my oscar can swallon superworms up to three inches lol so i hope the store even has the bichir im real excited there a real weird and interesting fish, i found a food by hikari specificly meant for bichir. Also i turned off all light in my room and blind where my tank is so i trick my fish into sleeping so when i add the bichir hopefully my oscar wont care too much. Any aditional info? thanks

They are a very fun, interesting, and very interactive fish. They have a lot more personality than you would think. Not picky eaters, very hardy, not very messy unlike Oscars. All in all very easy fish to keep and you will like having him. What size tank do you have intended for these fish?

Well i have a 55 bowfront with all my fish in it but im gona get a 30 gallon for the bichir or one of my other fishys, dont start im gona upgrade soon. Also i poot the bichir in and my oscar tried to eat it i closed all lights off and make as little light as possible. the bichir in really small like three MAYBE four inches. Im hoping he will get big fast once he is five six inches he should be okay. My oscar is done with his groth spirt now, and my other fish showed no interest in the bichir its going pretty overall it is way smaller than i though.

I just got one a few weeks ago too it is a awesome fish as soon as the food hits the water he is on the top swimming around like a little shark chowing down good luck with the tank
