Hey what is the minimal tank size for a Jaguar Cichlid? will it get along with a green terror?

minimum size i would say is around a 150us, could be ok could not,i had a stunning male in a 150 with a few other cichlids,,,worked perfect for 2 years, then he matured and decided he would own the tank over night, litterally

Yeah I would say 150 gal is the minimum to use for a Jag....I currently have a 14 inch male in a 180 and hes living with two female flowerhorns.....He is a little more relaxed for a Jaguar but still has an aggressive side to him....you sometimes will hear stories of two cichlid tanks with the exact same stocks and one tank is calm and the other every fish is fighting....BUT if you are trying to house the green terror I see in your avatar pic then that could be tough cause he looks like a mature male and terrors can be just that........Bigger the tank the better chances for success!!!!

IF ITS A SINGLE JAG YOU COULD HOUSE HIM IN A 75 TILL HE GETS BIGGER...I BREED MY PAIR IN A 75 BUT THEY LIVE IN AA 225. THEY LIVE WITH A OSCAR PAIR, GREEN TERROR PAIR, CUTTERI, JD PAIR, GRAMMODE PAIR, LOSELLI PAIR AND A RED TIGER MOTAGUENSE. JUST MAKE SURE YOU HAVE LOGS,CAVES, OR WHATEVER THAT EVERYONE CAN CLAIM THEIR OWN. BLOCKING DIRECT LINES OF SIGHT WITH DRIFTWOOD OR ROCKS HELPS TOO.

Thanks everybody, so it doesnt look like their is a Jag. in my future 120 gal. its all good tho. I still got my GT

i see no reason that you cannot keep a jag in a 120 for life. i think it would be fine.
