im going go miami, florida mid april and want to hire a private charter for tuna/wahoo/mahi. maybe someone on this forum knows of a friend or has used one in the area that isnt crazy expensive. i lived in miami a while back and i know they are all about taking tourists for a ride. any and all information/help is appreciated. in new york the going rate is 5-6 hundred dollars for a day on a private 6-8 person boat with a guide. thanks in advance!

If by a day trip you mean 12-hours, I REALLY doubt youll find a charter with a decent boat and gear in that range! Ive never been to miami but most of the charters on the panhandle are in the $800-1000 range for a 12 hour offshore trip with for a good boat and crew.
