info on Oceanic BioCube

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I cant speak on this, I have never owned one.

Pro's would be that "everything" is included...many people find this to be untrue as they get more experienced in the hobby.

An obvious con is that some of the best lighting MH...would overheat this tank. You might not want/need MH though...especially depending on what you plan on growing...might want to post this thread again in the general salt area...as this part doesnt get much activity

i have a 29g biocube and it's good if you are just staring out as FOWLR or keeping some soft, non light hungry corals. it's an all-in-one system but you still need to get heater, skimmer, and powerhead. as you get into some harder corals, you will need to upgrade the lights. biocube made one that came with HQI but that will cost you.

Just got a boyu tl-550 , its a 32 gallon for saltwater with skimmer heater uv and 2 power compact of 24 watts each and 2 led moonlights. So far so good. I got it used and the only problem i had was that i had to reseal the silicon that divides the main tank from the back filter.Hope this helps.
