can they live with a Jag, Texas, Midas and cons in a 110 G for 3-4 years? whats their growth rate? can they hold their own against the fish i listed? all these fish are really small at the moment 1-2.5 inches ,i will upgrade their tank in a few years. Are they aggressive? got him at Big Als here in Canada for only 7.50 ! currently in my 20 Gallon with a few plecos so he should be doing fine.

Thanks Alot !!! Merry christmas also

so is that a no-no? i have seen them with SA cichlids thought not sure if their aggressive or pansies like oscars aha.

With that mix of fish in a 110, you will probably end up with only one fish left after a year or two (either the RD or the jag I suspect).

in one year they should be 3-4 inches Tops they don't grow as fast as Oscars... i've decided to only go with the Jag, midas and Texas. or i might get rid of the RD/midas

in a tank that size with other aggressive fish like jags and midas, it is hard to determine whether it will work. Polleni are aggressive, but compared to midas or jags not so much. I had mine for from early 2007 until November 2010 and it was pretty aggressive and the most dominant fish in the tank except for a brief period when a Crenicichla "venezuela" lived there too...also, please disregard Kyel's comment, as their being an African (actually from Madagascar) is irrelevant to whether the mix will work.

The Pollini is not normally very aggressive towards other species, they are aggressive towards other paratilapia. They are generally slow growing for the first year and then reach their full size in their second year given a large tank. If you get two pair up then they will become much more aggressive. Hope this helps you out, if you are going to go with just one of these species I would stick with the pollini.

My Bleekeri went from 3" to 6" in about a year in a 50breeder with a blackbelt & a flowerhorn .
TheBleekeri was the "cooler" in the group. Anytime the other 2 would start to spar he would go break it up.
