Since I now know that my teacup ray is a P. reticulata I was wondering if you guys could give me some info on them. Like how their growth rate is and final size. I have it in a 55 right now. How long do you think it would be fine in it before I have to upgrade. The ray is only about 5in in diameter. Also I was wondering if anyone has pictures of how their partern changes from a teacup to and adult or does it not really change to much. Also it's tail is broken and I was wondering if they grow back at all. I assume they don't but im new to stingrays so I tought i'd ask.

The tail will not grow back.

Depending on the size, it should be okay in the 55 for up to a year.

One of the members here....RAYKEPR....has a breeding trio of retics (magdalenae) in a 180. She and her husband are "ray experts" and I am sure they would be more than happy to answer all of your specific questions. Actually, she is not very far from you. I believe she is in the Hillsdale area.
