:D HI MFK! I want to try to upgrade my tank and in this new tank I want to add in a pair or more of stingrays! In this tank there will also be 2 datnoids.

My first question is, which stingray do you guys recommend? I was thinking motoro at first but I want opinions. How big of a tank would i need for that stingray and 2 datnoids?

Rosewood recommended me a custom tank of 72 x 36 x 24. Is that good?

Also, please tell me the max growth length of the stingray you said.

Thanks :D

Richard, that would be a great size tank for a pair of motoro and a couple of dats. Motoro will grow usually between 20 - 24" across the disc so they need that 36" width. Motoro are probably the hardiest ray, so they make for great starter rays. Read the sticky's at the top of this forum and also get one of Dr. Ross' books. Research is a must before you get rays, that is if you want to be successful. GOOD LUCK!

The tank that Rosewood sujested is fine for a pair of motoros. if you have lots of money, Scobina, P14s and Hystrix stay a lot smaller and are a bit different and you would be helping to bring up the numbers which are quite low at the moment.

Oh, i see. What are dr. ross's books? Can you show me a link? And also, Alex, why Scobina, P14s and Hystrix? Are they endangered or so? CAn you show me links to each kind of stingray please? Thanks
