I bought this fish and put him in my feeder tank, but I have got quite attached to him. He/she is growing quite fast. Any idea what kind of fish it is and how will it grow.

tinfoil barb i belive it grows pretty fast well at least mine did i think they get to 14'' im not sure maybe bigger they do better in schools
Thats a tinfoil barb (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii). They are a nice species can gets to around 12-14". They need a large tank and lots of free swimming space.

Right now he is only 2 or 3 inches and my LM Bass would eat him as a snack. When the tinfoil barb is bigger, my bass would likely just kill it if he can't eat it.
