I posted this question a few days back in the wrong forum, and the mods never moved it, nor did I get any response.

So, I'll give it another shot- An LFS has a couple of big bushy nose plecos- A different species than regular bushy noses. They look the same, but these ones are 6 to 8 inches. I can't find info on these guys.

Anyone know what these are- scientific name? Other info?

There are several species in the genus 'Ancistrus', which all species in this genus are commonly known as bristle or bushy nose plecos. Posting a pic will help with the ID.

but as Wyld said a picture would really help

Last time I was there to see the fish was a few weeks ago. I don't believe it had the small white spots on it like the one you posted, but I could be wrong. Hopefully I can get to the store soon to either buy the pleco or to take a picture of it for you guys.
