Hi all you silly large fish keeping types.

I have the opportunity to add a room to our house, and rather than use conventional walls, I thought I would order 4 2" thick acrylic 24'Lx12H :) Dunno, but Im sure I will have to split the order into several panes to get the desired wall covering, much like what I had seen in arapaimag' build.

Now just a little background. I have a post in outdoor pond that i am currently working on. But I would like to have some of the materials ordered for the room by the time the pond is finished.

The room will an addition to the house where there is currently a large two car carport. There is already a roof, and all electricity and plumbing are on the inside wall of the house. has anyone attempted something like this? please note that I would like to keep the walls all one tank the whole way around, save space for doors.

yes this is in the very conceptual stages, but any advice in advance would be nice. thanks in advance.

Yay! thx for the reply Bass, (My first response)
On that subject, (are you serious? 10" !! ) I figure that now is the time to orgainze the dimensions. I was figuring like 2" but maybe im nieve. Really what Exact dimensions would you suggest?

I was pondering and concluded that I would need to section the panels with stainless between. Any suggestions, or thread links would be awsome.

Thanks for the reply!

Well If you make the Panels only 5' wide you could go as high as 5' 6" with 2" thick Acrylic... which still isn't cheap but much more affordable than 10"

Any of the builds in the DIY would be able to help in one way or another... it hasn't really been done like this before around here that I am aware of but the basic rules all still apply
