They're not avid jumpers but as with the case in any open-topped tank you should check for jumpers.
It might be tempting, but only feed as much as your filter can handle and then also as regularly as you are willing to do water changes. Scats are massive waste producers and, obviously, the more they take in, the more they put out...
You only need to feed them twice a day to get a decent grwoth rate out of them, maybe pushing to three of four times a day if you're trying to grow them faster but make sure that you increase your water changing schedule.
