I asked growth rate not max size. I already know that. Also is there no other way to tell their gender without venting since i can't vent them when buying them.1. 12 to 15in
2. Vent them
3. None
4. 180 for a pair
1. What is their growth rate
2. How to differentiate between a male and female juvenile jaguar cichlid
3. Their tank mates
4.Their required tank size
Is this difference prominent in juveniles or not. Can i use it to defferentiate between male and female jaguar cichlids in juveniles too?First pic female
Second pic male
notice the pattern difference
Thanks. i plan to grow out mine then put it in my 500 gallon predator pond1. Very fast, I bought mine at 10in and it grew to 12in in a few months.
2. I'm not a breeder so I can't answer that
3. Large schooling fish and other large cichlids, such as Tinfoil Barbs, Pacu, GT Cichlids, they're great. More peaceful cichlids like the oscar can be quite risky depending on both fishes' personalities.
4. 90-100 gallons I'd say. I keep mine in a ~300 gal pond.

Thanks S SilverArowanaBoi for the heads up. Actually RTCs grow to 1.5 to 2 feet of lenght after 1 to 1.5 years, even after which they can't swallow a foot long fish. The Rtc needs to get about 2.5 to 3 feet which can easily take 2 years to swallow a foot long fish. right now my RTC is under a foot and my jag will go in the pond once its grown to about 10 inches. Besides jags can grow up to 1.5 feet easily so i am not worried. As for the aggressive stocking, things have been going smoothly for months . Besides i always have a backup tank just in case.Be careful, AR1; you already have quite an aggressive stocking. Not to mention that you have a Redtail Cat, which I'm pretty certain, when fully grown, can make a quick snack out of a Jag, even a large one. I just thought I would give a friendly heads-up![]()
