Do anybody have any knowlegde on pink Fenestratam. How big do they get? How aggressive are they, say compared to a Grammodes, Festae, Escondido, etc... How big do they get? Are they the same species as the original Fenestratam? How do you tell from male and female?

They are pretty much the exact same as a normal Fene. Color is the only difference.

Normal size for one is approx 12" give or take an inch for males. Females around 10-12". They can be aggressive but generally they are not. They like to mingle with everything else going on too! Not shy and eat like champs!

Some males will be large, very colorful and a small nuchal hump. Females will be smaller in length and gurth like. Smooth heads or no nuchal.

If you have tank space? Get one! They are awesome!!!

The pink variety is endemic to Catemaco. Same species, different type locality. Treat it the same as any other Paratheraps, pretty aggressive especially to conspifics.

Just additional info for you. My Fene is fairly passive. But will stand on his on two... Feet? LOL Fins! He does not go out looking for trouble but when one of the other little turds do, he can chase them off.

If you get one post a pic!!:headbang2

I have; 1 Vieja Bifasciatus, Guttulatas, Synspilum, Fenestratus, Red tail black shark, Midas, Pearsei, Lyonsi, Lrg Frontosa, Syno Cat, and a Med Jack Dempsey.

All of them are together in my 150g.

Id love to get an Argentea, and a Maculicauda. The Mac is soooo mean that I doubt I will ever be able. Plus my Midas is being a trouble maker too so he may be going.:irked:

Vieja is probably one of my favorite Genus... LOL
