I inherited a huge blood parrot yesterday. It is about 8-10 inches. It is one of the prettiest fish that I have seen. I would like to know what would be good tankmates. I also inherited a 55 gallon tank. Thanks for your help.

wow.. a ten inch BP??? any pics?? good tankmates= more parrots... but for a parrot that big.. i would go with how aggressive is that fish..not all fish behaves the same
Get some pics, and a close up of it's mouth. It could be a KK parrot. I have have kept a 8" regular, and know I Have A very nice looking7" BP, and a 3" KK

nice pictures of the BP. you might be right about it being a king kong. I am not sure exactly what that means, but its definately bigger than any BP I've seen. enjoy, looks like you've got a nice fish. btw, I keep my BP with a Jack Dempsey, and they get along great.
I basically inheritad 2 as well this weekend.I purchased a whole set up 37g with stand light etc....for 50.00 bucks.When I had spoke to the guy on the phone he said he had 2 big oscars that came with the tank.I get there and they are 2 big blood parrots.I dont know much about them so any help would be appreciated.I also have a pleco and a african blue in there.
