injured/deformed lungfish?!

so i had this lungfish that formed a crooked spine recently, it used to be straight and with no problem. it currently lives with another lung ( separated).. may i know that what might be the possible reason of this(Water?/area?) and the chances of it recovering? will it recover?

not sure if this well help going off of what you have already posted. but ive only heard of damaged spines when the tank is to small for the fish. and when they get attacked by another fish. other than that man i really dont know. i know lung fish get big. i had an african and he was 13 inches before i sold him. idk how big he could have gotten? sorry but hope this helps
