I think most people know I've got Gulper cats 2 of them to be percise. Now recently I tried a tank divider since I got a Indo Datnoid and wanted to keep him safe from the Gulpers. Unfortunately I left for work after seperating them. For some reason my naturally lazy Gulpers went buck. Trying frantically to get thru the divider. Now they've got some serious injuries to they're face. What can I use to help stimulate a healthy recovery. I bought some Pimafix, Melafix and some APC stress coat. Can I mix them and what is the possibility of burn to the cats. I know cats are sensitive to medication and just want to make sure I can mix the medications with no ill affects. Thanx in advance especially to Kenyansandboa who seems to reply to all my threads. I appreciate that as well as the welcome to the Dat community I just hope I can be as helpful to those who have helped in the future.

Personally, I would just stick with the salt. The main reason why is because when I dosed my tank a while back with Pimafix and Melafix I had wilting on almost all of my cats. I did a LARGE water change to get what ever I could out and just dosed with Stress Coat and aquarium salt and that seemed to be the best combination.

You figure the main thing you're preventing is secondary infection, which the salt will take care of. Other than that I would just focus on water quality by doing small, but very frequent water changes.

I hope this helps.

EDIT: Thanks for the comment...I hope my rants help you out in the long run. :D

What do you mean wilting if you don't mind me asking?

The wiskers on the catfish wilt. They turned all white and looked like noodles...there was no "structural integrity" to them at all.

As soon as I started the water changes they all returned to normal after a short while.
