Oh, I'm just chock full of issues this week.

My king suffered an "act of cat". 18" long, she has a deep gouge about 2 inches from tip of the tail. We have it wrapped in cotton at the moment, is there anything else I can do? Or do I have to hope it'll heal over...

theres lots of meds u can buy at large chain petstores like petco and petsmart u shud check out. they usually have alot. ive never had to use any thankfully but i would check that out. sorry i cant give an egzact name of a good brand.

what he said :D
baths in warm water might help but google that first

Disinfect with iodine (just a tiny dab, ein klitzekleines bisschen), and then cover with corn starch to stop any bleeding, and then cover with the cotton again.

The bleeding stopped with the dressing, the wound is currently closed. She's curled up in a temp 1 gallon with just newspaper for the night. We'll see how bad it looks in the morning.

Called a herp vet in BC, they say the only thing they can do is an antibiotics injection, and it has to be done by a vet (muscle close to the spine). Don't have one of those anywhere on the Island, so have to hope for the best as it pertains to infection. Might grab some iodine tomorrow though.

I'm amazed she lived. She got loose Friday, and I'm in a big, drafty farmhouse. Never expected to see her again, but the cat found her downstairs. Glad I took that moment to go stoke the fire.

omfg you live in pei wow where do you live? Im in stratford wow
hope the snake gets better I have no input but mabey vet?
