Hello, I currently have an injured tiger shovelnose catfish of about 6 inches, he was doing great in my 220 for awhile, he was with a jaguar/ fh mix of about 4 inches a medium sized ornate bichir and a 3 inch texas, anyways I woke up this morning to find him beat up real good, bite marks on his body, barely any pectoral fin left on one side and the other pectoral fin badly bitten and torn, I moved him to a spare 65 I have set up alone, wondering what are the chances of him growing back all his fins and making a recovery?

They usually do heal up quickly. Is it still in the same tank? Might need to figure out a hospital tank if it happens more if you think the aggression doesn't stop. I've seen catfish recover from crazy injuries

Dang,

Good he’s on the mend, I figured these guys were bullet proof.. I had mine with 4 whimple for a year, now with bass and see it nip at the bass.
