My alpha male has been on one all day and messed this guy up pretty good. My question is will his eye heal? I have never had a fish with an eye injury.uploadfromtaptalk1359432799422.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359432823809.jpguploadfromtaptalk1359432847399.jpg

Sorry mate, in my experience eyes don't heal themselves. Cloudy eyes are a sign of blindness or infection. Make sure to still treat with aquarium salt or Melafix and make water conditions perfect. Not to worry though, I have owned a few one eyed fish and it hasn't slowed them down at all. My sources are the internet and experience.

When I was breeding fronts this use to happen to me and all I would do is raise temperature add the correct amount of salt for your tanks gallons and that would usually do the trick as long as your water is pristine and he doesn't keep getting beat on it will clear and he will be back to normal if salt doesn't work get correct medication for his eye and if he's getting beat on put him in a hospital tank till he's all clear again

You might get lucky. That happened to my ID shark twice when he panic'd and hit the glass at full speed. Each time it took about a month to heal, the one time it looked like it was going to fall off. Keep good water temps and keep the fish stress-free, that's your best bet for him to heal up.

Thanks for the replies. His eye is looking more clear today so hopefully it will heal up. I added another HOB today and added some salt. Tank is 78°. Should I take it higher than that?
