I have a 200 gallon tank that I am wanting an inline heater for. The Hydor ETH In-Line Heater was recommended to me but will just 1 of these heat up the water? I need the water to stay around 78F and the room the tank is in stays around 70F. I have an EHEIM Professionel 3 model 2075 canister filter. Or if you have any other suggestions for inline heaters I am all ears. Thanks!

I used an ETH on a 150 gal tank, with 50 gal sump in a basement with ambient air temps that averaged about 60-65'F, but dropped into the 50sF in the dead of winter, I found I needed to add another heater in Jan and Feb, but the rest of the time, the ETH was sufficient.

So safe to say in a apartment with ambient air temps between 68'F and 75'F, this inline heater is more then enough.

I'm using the Hydor ETH 300W heater on a 220G tank in a 68°F basement and it keeps the tank at 78°F with no problems. This heater is installed on the Eheim 2262 filter 5/8" output hose with a spraybar.

You will just need to buy the appropriate model ETH based on the output hose of your filter.

I am about to go with the ETH 300W on a 180g on a 2262 as well, hoping it works I'd rather not add another heater to the tank, but maybe I'll only need to during the winter.

I use two 300 watt aqueon heaters on a 220 keeping the temp at about 78. My room temp is about 50-60 currently as its winter and my den doesnt have the heat on.
