I am trading my dreadful 150 tall for a a bowlfront tank. the fiancee wants it in the bedroom with Angels, rummy nose(if angels dont eat) and cories. She doesn't want lots of cords in a tank. was thinking of an ehiem 22177 with a hydor 300w heater, your opinions on em

Mine were fine for the 6 months I had them, upgraded my 2 fluval 405s to a fx5 and didn't want to play with hooking them up to 1" hose.

Love the inline hydors. I got the 300w model and would use them for any tank .

I've been using them for over 5 years, no problems yet.

The 300W Hydor ETH connections will need to be reduced on either side of the Eheim 2217 output hose unless you plan on installing it on the intake hose connections.
