I have a 180g central american tank. It was starting to get quite a bit of brown algae growth all over the fake plants and glass so I figured I would go out and get a sailfin pleco. Unfortunately the LFS didn't have any so I felt obligated to get another pleco (It's a little over an hour's drive and I don't make the trip often).
Long story short I bought a "chocolate pleco" and a "rhino pleco" for $15. The Rhino is about 3.5" and the chocolate is about 2.5". The chocolate is "lutino"-like in color, the rhino is brown with horns. I got home and looked on planetcatfish to find some information on these. Plecos aren't my strong point. I found that according to planetcatfish they are one of the same. Common names are chocolate, rhino or alligator pleco? They look very different... So... what do you think they are? I'll try to get pics if they come out of hiding.
