Input on running two FX5's

I'm currently running one FX5, in the configuration below and I will but setting up another. Anyone have any input on how to configure two? One mechanical and one bio? Both mixed? Open to any suggestions. The only thing I don't want to use is lava rock.

Top tray. Eheim Ehfimech
Middle. Filter Floss, Purigen(Lots of new driftwood and it works great btw)
Bottom. Eheim Substrate Pro

i run one with fluval prefilter on top, blue pads middle, carbon bags bottom

second one fluval prefilter top, biomax middle and bottom

Ask Mr Pleco I know he has 2 FX5's not sure if he is running them both in the same tank. I have one and I use Top: Prefilter, Middle: Carbon with a blue pad and Bottom: Biomax with a polishing pad.

I'm running 1 fx5 w/ the foam blocks around the sides & all the inner chambers are filled w/ scrubbies & nothing else, bout 3-4 scrubbies each chamber. The other fx5 is running the foam block's, additional filter floss in the bttm chambers w/ top chamber containing bio rings, scrubbies, ect. This is on a 215 & knocking on wood so far very good. This was my set up on my last 125 & 100, prior to the new 215 & I used 2, 405's set up this same way for yr.'s & there were no problems there, so I went w/ the same setup, just using fx5's instead. Hope that helps.
