Inquired a XP3 little advice

What I have is a Rena XP3 filter that I'm going to setup on my 50 gallon I know over rater LOL. SO couple of question

1) Best mediia for it. I'm thinking like biomax and some foam IDK
2) Can you use any input or output lines or would Rena stuff work

Thought I had more question but drawing a blank

In my xp3 I used all rena stuff the bio stars for media and the rena foam and floss for mechanical. In my xp4 I use biohome and bioballs for biomedia, and rena foam and floss for mechanical. You can use any hoses for it as long as they're the correct size.
