So in recent times, my blood parrot would build a mound out of sand; and other oddities, while basically ignoring tank mates.

Then I added my GT to the tank, who proceeded to beat seven shades of purple out of the BP, and who was subsequently re-homed. However, my BP while recovering nicely, is now building her sand pit even more aggressively, has taken to biting the driftwood in the tank, my hand, and the anubias.

Possible that the aggression he/she got recently, has unleashed inner demons lol?

Making a spot for breeding. Wants a mate

yeah you can pair them up with any central American cichlid and have viable young if your parrot is female.
I gues you want something with similar aggression levels
