I have 5 wild spectabilis that I've had for about 4 months. Everything was going great until about a month ago I notice a small hole between the ventral fins in my dominant male. Today I notice my male hanging in the corner and dark in color so I did a water change and that when I notice the hole was bigger and had something hanging out of it. I netted the fish and with a pair of tweezers I grabbed onto something but it was too big to come thru the hole. I assume I'm going to lose this fish in time. I remember about 10 years ago my Lfs got in some big wild spectabilis and the same thing happened. They actually got the bug that was in the fish and they bottled it. I remember it was kind of knarly looking.
With all the wild spectabilis coming into the country is anyone else experiencing this? If I end up getting the little bugger I will post pics.
