I went to Thailand last month and there was a great, huge swap meet in Bangkok. The back section has at least 60 fish stores and there must've been at least 10 stores selling Asian Arowanas. It seemed like there were a couple hundred Asian Aros for sale just in that one swap meet alone. It's crazy that they're illegal in the US when they're everywhere in Asia.
Here's a video of one of the Asian Arowana stores I visited. I saw RTGs, High Back RTGs, Cross Backs, and Chili Reds. The owner had a sign saying "No Video Allowed" so I had to be sneaky about recording in there and that's why the video isn't longer. Enjoy!
