Instant Aquarium Gravel?

Hi all,

So... I was in Petco..... and I saw this 5 pound bag of a substrate that I want to use for my new 180 build..... I ordered 220 pounds of it... It shows up (on time) but, the 20 pound bags are tightly sealed and have water in them (supposedly with bio starters and all that stuff - so one can put fish in right away)... Would you rinse this and just start fresh? The water in the bags looks clear, but I have never seen this before... Any ideas

sounds like the carib sea stuff... ive seen this only for saltwater not fw tanks... reguardless the love sands ect only caused notrate spikes ect.. i would rinse it and cycle your tank like normal.

I used this on my 50 gallon. I didn't rinse it or anything just drop 30 pounds in and added fish. It cycled my tank imediately and I have had no promblems 3 months later.
