Insulation for above ground pond help

Hi I would like to insulate my 500 gallon pond similar to an Intex pool. What and how should I insulate the pond? What type of foam board is best and what R should I be looking for. Im in Canada so it can get quite cold. I am hoping to keep my AST outdoors from now on.
