hey guys I was wondering how I would get insurance for a brand new tank not for water damages but just for the tank.

Your homeowner's policy already covers your possessions. If you're renting, renter's insurance covers the value of your possessions if damaged in fire, flood, etc. And, possessions are covered in case of theft (minus depreciation).
