Insurance for stingrays?

Has anyone went threw insurance for stingrays? I am at a loss right now. Power outage and before I could get home with a generator (less the 24 hours) 3 dead rays and a dat.
Well none the less I can go through insurance but need some solid numbers for the insurance purposes.

At least in the US, most homeowners and renters insurance doesn't cover live animals (including fish). Check your policy... but probably not.

Yep, same here, no cover for livestock.

Although, there is insurance for farms and commercial insurance which does specifically cover livestock. I doubt they'd cover "Some dude's fish in a tank" but could be interesting to see what they'd say if you asked about it.

Your best insurance would probably be hardware to handle a power outage. A UPS, Automatic generator, etc.

Sorry for the loss.

Won't cover equipment failure of things of that nature. But a backup generator with an automatic transfer switch is the best insurance value IMO. Far less than premiums associated with insuring a rare high $ aquatic species

This is how I have my fish room set up and it adds peace of mind.
