ok, I have been thinking about getting a pair of dovii or at least a male. what im wondering is will my 7x2x2 200 gallon be good enough for a breeding pair for at least a few years or should i just start looking at other fish?

in my opinion yes, i have a 13-14 inch male and a 7-8 inch female in a 180 and theyre doing fine. going to upgrade in teh future but its definantly goof for now

Wow the male sounds like a monster. Any pics?

Thats male is incredible! I love the deep blues in his fins.

Dovii are AWESOME! I chose to get a Jaguar cichlid instead though...

Ive just read quite a few places saying males get 30" but I saw a video of a guy that has been keeping dovii for 30+ years 4 generations of males in a 600 gallon tank and the biggest he ever had was an 11 year old 24" so decided to give dovii a second look.

That's most likely a member on here,I believe his name is guadoptemel .his dovii is the largest I've seen in any video period.
