Alright so I've wanted to get a ray for a long time and seeing the fantastic pictures here now I gotta have one. I've not had the opportunity to own one before due to the states I've lived in but am now ready to give it a go. I've done alot of reading here and some other online info but I have just a few questions.
1) How do you handle the ray.. some fish should not be netted etc. do you net the fish or use something else?

2) is there a rule of thumb for number of rays/size of rays for an aquarium? I currently have a 125G i'm looking to put them in with the dimensions of 72" x 18" x 21". Currently with two hang on filters rated for 60 gallons each and a 200g sump with 800g/hr return. Heater will be stored in the sump to prevent any type of burn injury but any info for good stocking info here would be appreciated.

and a 125 could hold 1-2 motoros for maybe a year and then would need an upgrade (to skinny and not long enough, need atleast an 8x3x2 tank

yeah, i agree with turkey boy. even with maybe two full-grown retics, the very minimum would be around 180 gallons, but the 125 would definitely last you a while.

two things i would recommend that changed our lives:
*fluval fx5 filter
*drip system (we never do water changes... it does a gallon an hour for us)

its a pity, but stingray man is right. Rays are illegal in Georgia so you dont even have to consider it anymore
