hey all. my fiance and I have been keeping fish for years and she mentioned getting a stingray. i have looked over a couple of the threads and learned some, but wanted to hear some more about keeping rays from the experts.
i have a 400 gallon tub that we were thinking would work out well for a ray. the tub is round and about 2.5 feet deep. as far as a filter.... im clueless. i use air driven sponge filters for my fish tanks along with weekly water changes. would a few sponge filters with powerheads be enough? if not, what can you recommend? any and all advice is more than welcommed! thank you so much.

You have a ton of tanks? Breeding cichlids? You could always get a permit. Would be some hoops to jump through but not impossible

while you wait for your permit you can get your tub ready though. i would drill it out and put an external pump on it to a bead filter. or an internal pump to an overhead filter. rays are messy so you will want some good mech and lots of bio. good luck with your paperwork.
