Interesting-looking fish ID

My friend collected this fish in an waterpalm estuary, Southern Vietnam. He said it was about 6-7 inches in lenghth(including the tail) and is a pretty voracious predator. I would appreciate if anyone could give an identification.

Possibly a Marbled goby but not sure.

Agree it is probably one of the freshwater Eleotris or related gobies.
The one below was caught in Panama, but they are found al over the globe.

i am pretty sure it is not one the one pictured above or marbled goby. The head and body are off. Even the fins aren't the structured the same as far as i can see. The scales are large and its head kinda reminds me of Scorpaenid ? Defenitely a goby though from the fused fin

If you were in the US, I would say it looks like a Big Mouth Sleeper Goby.
