I'm in the process of getting a 350~400G aquarium from a restraunt I serviced the tank at. It was a Salt system but I am converting it to fresh. I need to know how heavy it is and how many people would i need to move it? It's an acrylic tank..

Also. What to put in it?

I have a Black ghost that will be in there but other then that I want to stay with compatable species. Sand bottom with live plants..

Any suggestions?

Arowana, bichirs,Maybe a cool cat. Pbass so many things u could put in it lol

I would think 4 people could move an acrylic tank that size without too much trouble. I have a 180gal. acrylic that 2 people can move pretty easy.

2 big dudes could lift it if its acrylic, but 4 would make it easier.
I move my acrylic 300 off of the stand and onto the stand myself (as I was building the stand), and we loaded it in the truck and into my house with 2 people easily.

I think four guys should have no problem lifting that tank. BTW, I'm green with envy! You could put almost anything in that tank!:D

4 people would make it easy..I and another guy moved and loaded my acrylic 450 with no problems, but extra hands would make it easier for you. Fish stocking...you could go in so many different directions your head would spin..I would suggest looking into fish that interest you the most and then pose the compatability questions to see what you can and cant do with the fish you prefer.

Well, I am suprised at all the responces so Quickly! I am looking for a community tank. somthing that would be enjoyable to watch and low maintinance other then the W/C's.
I was possibly thinking a knife tank...any thoughts on that? has it been done before?

Since the tanks that big, I was gonna suggest a mermaid... don't see many around, but i'm sure someone on MFK will have one thats outgrown their tank...
Aint nothin wrong wit a gud lookin fissshh...
