interesting thing i noticed

I noticed that about a week before my albino ice blue started carrying eggs in her mouth. that the male went from 2 egg spots to 4. then also the female got 2 egg spots on her. right after she started carrying the eggs. i was wondering if anyone else has ever noticed this before. like thats a sign to tell they have become mature. sadly i dont have enough tanks n fish to test this out so i was wondering if anyone else has seen this. just a theory...

i think that is a very interesting observation.. and i quess as long as your not seeing dots in front of your eyes.. you probably counted right.. i would love to know if this actually occurs too.. anybody else.... ever notice?

I wonder if the egg spots will stay there after she releases the eggs. If they do stay, then I would imagine that it's what you said, a sign of becoming sexually mature.

Might just be a coincidence (sp?). They might be still growing and developing, but they can breed at a young age. How big are they?

When they start breeding their colors will intensify making egg spots more visible.
